Let me take you to a joyride. Let’s discover the beauty of Ilocos Norte!
NOTE: First four parts are here, here here and here! 😀
Buckle up and let’s continue the rrrrride! 😀
After we have some lunch, we proceed to the highlight of our entire Ilocandia 2015 trip! And that is…
The Dunes
FYI: Paoay Sand Dunes is a known site where the extreme 4×4 ride and sand boarding are being held. Sand Dunes already gained popularity as one of the must visit place when in Ilocos Norte.
This is indeed the best part of our adventure because it is extremely scary yet enjoyable!!!
It was raining hard when we’re having our 4×4 ride. It was not ideal yet it made the adventure more fun!
Because the sand dunes is wet, we we’re not able to do sandboarding. BUT! Of course, we can play pretend! 😀
After the scream-inducing sand dunes experience, we finally went to our last stop in Ilocos Norte. That is…
The Paoay Church
FYI: The Saint Augustine Church (Spanish:Iglesia de San Agustín de Paoay), commonly known as the Paoay Church, is the Roman Catholic church of the municipality of Paoay,Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. Completed in 1710, the church is famous for its distinct architecture highlighted by the enormousbuttresses on the sides and back of the building. It is declared as a National Cultural Treasure by the Philippine government in 1973 and a UNESCO World Heritage Siteunder the collective group of Baroque Churches of the Philippines in 1993.
No one among us is Catholic, but we can’t help but admire the elegance of this old church.
Of course, photo op!
More travel stories and photos next week! We’re almost in Ilocos Sur! 😀
I hope you’re enjoying the ride?

It looks like so much fun! Especially the sand boarding. It reminded me of our snow boarding.

Yes! It was FUN, PJ! Fun because we are not actually sandboarding cause the sands are wet! It would be scary if it was dry! 😀

Looks wonderful Rosema. Too bad about the sand boarding, I had some friends who did that in some warm eastern desert country and enjoyed it. Maybe you can come to Canada sometime and do it in the snow 🙂

Hmm.. I won’t say I am expert with travelling yet, but with saving I guess I am! 😀
Oh no! I only changed my photo because my officemate is insisting that I should change it! ‘Cause my previous photo was taken more than 5 years ago! 😀 😀 😀
And yes, that’s in Vigan City! 😀
