  4. From high school and college, anything by Chicago or Linda Ronstadt. When I was a child, we had a record (one of those flat round things that are being sold again) of folklore songs. We played those songs so much, I could sing them to you now. Frankly, because they were authentic, I guess, the songs were kind of mean and gruesome. The two I remember best are “There was an Old Woman all Skin and Bones” (a scary song) and “Whoever Shall Have Some Good Peanuts and Giveth His Neighbor None” (a song of revenge). Your song list is so much healthier. Thanks!
