Windows

Close. Open.

Blinding lights welcomed my infant vision.

Embracing innocence, clueless of life’s mission.

Close. Open.

Excited to see my playmates hiding,

behind the tree, no it’s not hard finding.

Close. Open.

Staring with glee, to a sea of black.

Yes, college is done, let’s rock!

Close. Open.

Hello, my dear books.

Hi, my dear work.

Close. Open.

Write in the morning.

Read when it’s evening.

Blog in between.

DAY 32 of 50 Days of Gratefulness

After sharing the beginning of my travel journey early today, now I am grateful for my little chinita eyes.

They aren’t as lovely as I hope they are but with them I can do the two best things that I love, reading and writing.

I know they are stressed and tired most of the time, but they remained bright and sharp!

Thank you, windows of my soul!
