(revolving earth
undresses, each
season unravels)
spring, peeler of
silent blue winter,
blush in pastel young
blooms, will then
succumb to laughing
rays of golden sun,
salted seas curdle
to scarlet red as
autumn conquers
the rusting lawns,
(revolving earth
undresses, each
season unravels)

Today I offer you the word “peel” to include in your quadrille.
You may use it as a noun or a verb or play with it as a derivative….peelable, unpeelable. unpeeled.
You can “peel off” or “peel out”.
Are you a “peeler”? Do you save your peelings or throw them away?

I love the way you’ve sandwiched the seasons between the lovely image of the earth’s striptease, and the use of parentheses, as if they are trying to cover it up! I especially enjoyed the use of colour, and the phrases ‘peeler of silent blue winter’ and ‘blush in pastel’.

As if gently peeling off a mask to reveal something new. Using seasons was a beautiful tool for this. Nice.

I like the description of spring as a peeling away of winter.

This is just lovely… you have a way with language that I envy. The curdling in autumn and peeling in spring are lovely contrasts.

Spring the peeler of winter. Laughing rays and salted seas, And autumn conquers. You’ve created an economy of words, sister, that tells a vivid story of the year!
(In answer to dVerse’s questions, if it’s carrots or potatoes, I eat the peelings.)
