Hiding with controlled breathing, I saw her coming.
Without her knowing, I witnessed how thrilled she was with the new look of ‘our’ little corner. From rustic brown, to cloudy blue, to cheeky peach, to mossy green, I decided to finally paint our ‘love’ seat in roaring red!
Quietly and inches away from her, I watch admiringly as her hands move freely.
I am far but I can’t help but smile.
‘Cause just like five years ago, I am quite sure. On that red seat I will see, her name and mine inside a heart, an artwork made for me.

Aww…this is super sweet. I love the names of the colors. Tiny details, but they add so much to the story.

This is the best Valentine-oriented story that I can produce. Romantic stories are not my forte, eh? 😀

EVeryone took this as a Valentine’s story… I thought he was a stalker and he was the one that did the carving after the deadly deed…. Have I been watching to much horror on TV?

No! You didn’t! I initially wanted to do that, a bit creepy and psycho tale. But it is Valentine’s. 😂
