COVER REVEAL: Between My Bleeding Lines

BLEEDING LINES

Meet my first baby, the book I reared for nine months, my very own Between My Bleeding Lines.

Between My Bleeding Lines is a collection of 100 free verse poems about love, loss, and finding yourself in the process.

The art of loving, the pain of losing, and the beauty of healing are shown in the book’s three chapters: For Granted, Forgotten and Forbearer.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the ever kind Sarah Doughty for creating this beautiful book cover. Book cover plays an important role and the art you did here is a great help. I cannot thank you enough, love. ❤

The beautiful painting is by Tsukiko Kiyumidzu.

Between My Bleeding Lines will be available in Amazon, Createspace and Amazon partner bookstores starting next week. I will be sharing the links soon!

I would love to know what you think about this cover? 🙂 Please share!

Our River

the gentle whispers of the trees’ breeze. the tender murmur of river’s flow. the playful tweets of the little birds. these sweet sensual delights are the reasons why we used to visit this river. the river we called ours.

today i clutch unto you, unto your vessel. your vessel made of cold porcelain, a stark contrast to how warm your hands were when you held mine.

slowly opening the lid, feeling what was left of your mortality, i let the salty tears wet my face as i let your ashes be one with the river. the river we called ours.

Note: I wrote this piece with Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers playing in my ears. Sigh.
Oh, I’m in pieces, it’s tearing me up, but I know
A heart that’s broke is a heart that’s been loved

Drizzled Remains

like the sky
swallowing
the sun,
i remembered
how i choked
when you said
we’re done.

like the rain’s
fading fog,
i wait as
time erase
the drizzled remains
of your once
warm love.

today
i relish
each throb,
tomorrow
i will move
forward.

Waiting

with the God-painted twilight,
i smiled as i wait for you, my light.

i still don’t have your name,
i still don’t have your face,
but our story will not be a game
neither a fading phase.

the love we’ll share will be true,
someday we’ll be one not two,
darling, i am waiting for you.

Wrote this while listening to One Sweet Love by Sara Bareilles.
A nameless face to think I see
To sit and watch the waves with me till they’re gone
A heart I’d swear I’d recognize is
Made out of my own devices could I be wrong?
Ready and waiting (Ready and waiting)
For a heart worth the breaking (heart worth the breaking)
But I’d settle for an honest mistake in the name of
One sweet love

Finally, here is our prompt (optional, as always). Because today is the ninth day of NaPoWriMo, I’d like to challenge you to write a nine-line poem.

Dew of Dawn

Inside my hollow chest
lies a heart void of love–
a desert which hasn’t tasted
sprinkles of rain from above.

Then like pregnant drops of dew
on a chilled yet rose-pink dawn,
you kissed my cacti and sand
when you made me your own.

Monday Morning Melts #7

mmm-3

Rosema: After being MIA for the past week, I am back with dear Jade for Monday Morning Melts! 🙂 After the Christmas festivities, let me treat you with yet again another sweet sweet song. 🙂

I have written a fiction titled “Quite Like You” based on this song. When you read its lyrics, and when you hear it playing and being sang, you cannot help but hope that someone will sing this song for you someday. ❤

So much with dreamy words, here it is, friends!

PROMPT: The Script – Never Seen Anything “Quite Like You”

When it’s right it’s more than right
Cause you feel it more than feel
I could take this moment now
Right into the grave with me

Your Turn:

  1. Share a poem, story, or photo inspired by this week’s song-lyrics-prompt. You can share something you created that was inspired directly by the lyrics or you can share other pieces that coincidentally fit the prompt (for ex: an old piece of yours, or one of a beloved blogger – with permission).
  2. Linkback/create a pingback to this post. Here is a quick tutorial on how to do it.
  3. Tag your post with MondayMorningMelts, so we and  your co-bloggers will be able to read/see your take on the prompt. Here’s how you create tags.
  4. Most important of all, read and comment to your blogger friends (old and new found, we’ll never know). 😉

There are no word limits and no restrictions except to stay true to the theme. Creating a brand new post in response to the prompt is also optional.

The goal isn’t to create new content, but rather to share pieces that melt the heart, tickle the soul, and brighten up a typically gloomy Monday. That’s why if you already have a piece that fits this week’s lyrics, or if you have a fellow blogger whose piece you want to share (with their permission), you are more than welcome to do so!

Solitary Suicide

Foolish. Naïve. Crazy.

My friends have been engraving those words in my mind for months now since I told them about you. They asked, “How can you love someone you haven’t seen.” I smiled and answered, “How can I not?”

They said loving you is like walking slowly towards a deadly cliff. Once I fall, I am dead. They have a point. Matter of fact, this love is definitely unexpected. Unplanned. Damned.

But I told them if death will feel this sweet and this good, then I’ll run faster towards the cliff and fall. Cause you are my heart’s solitary suicide. I am afraid no more.

P.S.

I will catch-up replying, commenting and reading soon. ❤ Miss you my darlings. ❤

Sorry, Storm

My clear window pane is tainted with gem-like trickles of rain. The sky is angry. So black. So dark. Its sharp and fast lightning brings along growling screams of thunder. These are the moments I hate the most.

With rain comes my demon named depression. The feeling that even the mighty one loathes my existence and He is expressing his hate upon me via a brutal weather.

But today, as I watch the glaring storm with your arms wrapped around me, I feel as warm as summer, as blossoming as happy spring.

Sorry, storm, your desperate efforts of gloom will forever be futile, as long as he loves me.

Air Affair

Air Affair (Inspired by Air by Rayvon Owen)

An air kind of affair.
A love story that’s not even there.
It left me wrecked.
It left me bare.
I was hurt but it’s okay.
It made me better.
It made me stronger.
Thanks to you, my former lover.
