silent stare

at times when
i feel like You’re
just looking at me – in
soaked prayers – albeit
with Your eyes

closed,

as if Your power is
to silent stare. i

remember the
sparrow outside
my window, warm
under December
snow. You love me,

even in silence.

    1. so true. there is a song called “Jireh” and i was listening to it repeatedly as i was writing this yesterday. one line says: “if He watches over every sparrow, how much more does He love you?” and it never fails to make me cry.
