hiding: an acrostic plus*

sonnets no longer needed,
era of legend-love
ended before our birth

month cracked its first
egg yolk sun, surely

some lovers of
eagle know never
ever should wings

yearn for the sun
overly close or turn to
ugly ashes no poet will mourn about.
