Choir of August rain sings
To soil and cloud just married,
Though the door is open wide
My feet remains buried.
A cup of tea, I made,
With cubed sugar on the side,
My feet remains buried
Though the door is open wide.
Silence sat beside me
With light solitude carried,
Though the door is open wide
My feet remains buried.
Grey sky may seem empty
pillow sheets are not yet dried,
My feet remains buried
Though the door is open wide.

Oh my goodness this is incredibly rich with emotion! Every stanza gives the reader a further glimpse into the innerworkings of the Protagonist .. especially moved by; “Grey sky may seem empty/pillow sheets are not yet dried,/My feet remains buried/
Though the door is open wide.” Sigh .. Gorgeously rendered 💝💝

I felt like being stuck in the pandemic and nowhere to go. You described the emotional pain and sadness very well with these lines:
My feet remains buried
Though the door is open wide.
Happy to read that you enjoyed writing to this form. Have a good weekend.

The door being opened but not be able to walk through it to your loved ones is one of the worst feelings in the world. My prayers that you will be able to see them soon continues, Ms. Rosemarie.

I cannot agree more, Ms. Lisa. This Delta is cruel and I sometimes I feel really down but… clenching some hope. Thank you for your kind prayers, Ms. Lisa. Blessings to you.
Also, Rosema is okay. 🙂

Lovely rhymes and strong imagery – I love the tea with the cubes of sugar and –
“Choir of August rain sings
To soil and cloud just married,
Though the door is open wide
My feet remains buried.”
This opening stanza is an absolute delight ❤
