every morning the peacocks call,
wild and free on their private ball,
out of the trees after rains fall,
a sight for all, a sight for all.
are they big, small? i do not know.
my tea’s friend is the house sparrow,
unafraid of my breath’s flow so
let the wild go, let the wild go.

For dVerse: Poetry Form: Monotetra– It’s the wild peacock season in my corner of the world – though I haven’t seen one yet!!! How’s the weather from your side?

I still have to see a peacock in the open (not in the zoo). What a sight it must be.

A lovely sight, yes. Sound – no! As I discovered about 0500 one morning when I was awakened by something that sounded like a donkey being dismembered by an electric chainsaw. We had 3 of them here for almost a week, perching on my husband’s car overnight and leaving large gifts for him. Eventually it turned out they were my neighbour’s. She came and collected them in a work car – a police car. 😀

absolutely delightful … a bird ball … those peacocks are something else if you have to live with them 🙂

oh yes for about a year and their screeching is a nightmare … we dined outdoors in the tropics and they became a real bother at mealtime, quite aggressive in fact.

You’re welcome, my friend! Unfortunately, if I have to see one where I live, I’ll have to visit the zoo, and I dislike zoos.
