born in the era of
wide-legged pants
his limbs – bamboos –
his hands – cloud
to touch. his eyes,
thin eyes, disappear
when he smiles. he
dances, sings without
juke, Elton and Michael
croon inside his heart.
no wonder, no wonder
he is my darling
dad.

Ah this is very sweet. Nice choice of details and had me picturing people I know that fit the description. Wide legged pants and bell bottoms are coming back. Bought my wife a couple pair at christmas. Ha.

A lovely birthday tribute. This line was especially moving to me…..”his hands – cloud to touch”
