out of curiosity, how
does it feel to be the
middle month free
of fireworks, carols,
and turkey? the juicy
mango sun, the nod-
ding daffodils, the
terracotta leaves, all
are not in your
hands. June, do
you feel heavy or
light as sand?

What a lovely way to see the month of June! I love the colours in the second stanza, especially the mango-sun, and the final questions. I hope June feels light as sand this year.

I imagine June must feel zesty and full of hope and life! It all depends which part of the world you are in, of course…

Nice angle, but personally, I don’t think June has a problem with any of this.

Hi, Ron. I definitely agree. Sometimes having nothing means freedom. Sometimes not having things to carry means you’re light as sand. 🙂

I never thought of it before. June IS a quiet month, resting up for the BIG bang, I guess.

To find June at its best you should come to Sweden, she is the summer solstice, midsummer, end of school and a new beginning…

oohhooo. that’s wonderful to hear. I would love to visit Sweden, particularly the countryside (not a city girl, to be honest). 🙂

Oh, I just love this. I wrote of January once, but June is kind of in the same boat, in that in-between world. Though full of weddings, probably!

Hello, De! Great to see you here and glad to know you wrote something for January! And yes, June is the wedding month in my country (Philippines), too. My two weddings happened this month as well. HAHA. But thought it won’t be the same across so did not include that. 😉 Thanks for your comment, De!
