seasons inevitably change.
a tree transforms from
a yellow green bud-baby to
a daring, scarlet lady to
a bare and naked oldie.
humans will inevitably fade.
a mortal body from its
innocent infancy
grows bones after bones,
endures scars after scars,
wrinkles skin after skin,
expires cell after cell.
fleeting cloud of dusts and
fading bag of breaths,
oh, humans and seasons,
inside the complex cosmos
forever beyond anyone’s
comprehension.

I like the idea that the cosmos is forever beyond anyone’s comprehension.

Hello, dear PJ! I am good. Just had some changes in life so i was out and about. I’m sorry for missing a lot. How have you been? 🙂

I sure hope the changes in your life were all for the good! I have been well. Busy with my sister. She had a cyst in her brain and had to be flown to Albuquerque for surgery. When she was in rehab she fell and broke her hip. She is here where I live now, in rehab and hasn’t been doing well. She is doing better now though.

Yes. Had to switch job. So said goodbye to the old one and slowly learning the twists and turns of the new one. I am happy to know she is doing better now. I hope you are taking care of yourself too. 🙂

Wonderful, Rosemary! I especially like the way you went through the “ages” of the trees…so aptly and visually done. And oh yes….the complex universe. Gazing up makes us wonder….contemplate….say “what if”….and just sigh…
So glad you participated in this prompt!

I love how you compare the aging of humans to that of stars. Inevitably we will all be dust and so will stars

Phew! Things have been quite a rollercoaster. After the Thailand working trip I switched to a new job. So did transition for the old job. Now learning the curves and edges of the new one. Sigh. How have you been, Davy? 🙂 I hope all is well there!
