strip me slowly,
it’s fine, i’m ready,
for you.
in your lines, take me
mind, heart, soul, wholly,
not few.
for i’m the real me
when you, poetry
leaks through.

I write because I read. I read because I write.
strip me slowly,
it’s fine, i’m ready,
for you.
in your lines, take me
mind, heart, soul, wholly,
not few.
for i’m the real me
when you, poetry
leaks through.

Nice last stanza and build up to it in the first two stanzas. I liked the idea of the “real me” leaking through.

I read this several ways… but the one that really stuck was that the form stripped you of excess words, leaving you with bare meaning; the real you showing through. The other meanings were provocative, but this one was more intimate, vulnerable… poetic!

“poetry leaks through” “mind, heart, soul, wholly,
not few”, these lines just stole my heart. It seems lai is very fitting to write romantic/erotic poems. I loved it.
