we will soon be nothing
but a fading memory
made of warm forehead kisses
filled with innocence,
tight hand-in-hand walks
oblivious to world’s mess,
comforting hugs on
toughest turns of time,
loud to soft exchanges of
angry then sweet rhymes,
endearing utterance of names
turning them into songs,
pregnant tears shed when for the first time
you wrote me a poem,
full plates of cuisines
we tried together,
promises of discovering
the truth in forever.
looking at your eyes for one last time,
holding your hands for one last time,
stare at my tears and feel my touch,
before our us turned into nothing
but a fading

The way you have set the word memory out in the poem Rosema leaves me with two thoughts. One of longing and loss but also one of anger and release. Great poem.

wow. wow. what a comment, Davy! I would say this is more “longing and loss” as I arranged them like teardrops… and wow. you got the message. 🙂 thank you! 🙂

The poem broke my heart. Everything’s so fleeting, and like you said – soon, we’ll be left with nothing but a memory. But those will be the sweetest ones, something to hold on to and smile when looking back on it.

you write the words that I want to hear in a love song, beautiful and so touching, an aching deep inside to know this sort of love.

I’m so glad you’re better–you know you’re in my faithful prayers. I understand, even from a distance–but I have great confidence in God’s restorative powers, because He loves us SO MUCH ❤

awww. i think it is your prayers that’s making me better and better each day. yesterday too, i read this:http://thoughtcatalog.com/dian-tinio/2017/01/dear-god-you-are-good-always/
My favorite part is: You are good, always. Even in my brokenness, you love me with an unbroken love. The kind of love that protects and sends me to the rock bottom only for me to discover that You are the rock at the bottom. The kind of love that allow circumstances in my life, circumstances that sometimes I don’t understand the background, but is sure that all of it are in the purpose of making me a better person.

What you did with the last word was brilliant showing that the memory is fading. Heart-wrenching piece, though. ^^
