FlyTip: Cover Design (Favorite Book Covers)

Do you judge a book by its cover? (Well, honestly, I do. :))

I asked because I am back for the new FlyTip  feature hosted by my darling Lonna of FlyLef. The second topic is:

FLYTIP: Cover Design || What are 5-10 of your favorite book covers?

This is a delight because I miss writing about my boooooookish thoughts so this might be the beginning of something awesome! 😀

So here are my fave covers! (I only included the books I have read. :))

  1. i do too, chose a book by its cover, and I am always attracted to orange it seems! Lovely books, I have read some and must check out the rest, at present time I am reading more Paulo Coelho books – Brida and Aleph.

      1. She is good too! I have moved on to a new book since we spoke last -Milan Kundera’s – the Unbearable Lightness of Being – recommended by someone – feeling the burden of such heavy words and intense melancholy- have you read him?

      2. try to read him, though I will say its very heavy. Be ready to be amazed at his metaphors and analogy, like he has a peek into the human psyche. I felt physically drained reading him, but don’t regret it.

  2. I am entirely guilty of judging books by their cover! Or by their blurb, to be honest. But I love love your selection of books, and see a few on my reading list I’d love to pick up! All the Light We Cannot See is one, and The Nightingale is another. Maybe when I finish my current set.

      1. I’ll pick that one up soon! Once my bookstore stocks it, anyway >_> Currently, I’m just about to finish The Night Circus (I know, I know, I’ve been behind the times…), and then I’ll start with The Cuckoo’s Calling and Storm Front from the Dresden Files! A weird mix, but different genres keep me entertained.

      2. Haha, no worries! I still have friends my age who haven’t read Harry Potter, but have read A Casual Vacancy. I haven’t read that one either, but maybe one day I’ll get to it.

  3. How is it that I haven’t read any of these books?! My only saving grace is that I have read a different book by several of these authors. I guess we can still be friends. Hehehe. I love the first cover — Between Shades of Grey — because the juxtaposition of the barbed wire and the delicate young plant is so powerful. Those things that survive in the harshest of conditions are rare and magical. Until the next post…
