Lone Driver

Lone Driver (Inspired by Shell Suite by Chad Valley)

Wearing a fragile armor
made of brittle shells with no ardour,
I don’t want to be in control
nor take a major role.
Yet I am the lone driver
of my one and only life.
Gearing up, I have no choice but
to crush and burn my fright.

  1. Love this piece Rosema. It says to me that we must take control in our lives. Be our own “driver” for it our life to choose and act. The last couple of lines very powerful, especially “I’ve no choice but to crush and burn my fright.” You use strong imagery hear and it nails your point home. Great job!
