Freeing the Criminal (Inspired by Criminal by Fiona Apple)

You’re the criminal who has been jailed inside my heart.
Locked with ball and chain, I’ve kept you hidden inside.

I thought keeping you will make me blissful and glad.
Nope. I’m just like a lone warrior waging a foolish fight.

So come out now, my prisoner. I’ll accept my lost.
Letting you go is better for me, first and foremost.

  5. Yes, sometimes letting go is far better than holding on. Brilliant as always. I’ll need a dictionary soon to come up with new words. Or maybe, I’ll just make up my own 😀

  12. To let go is the best way and best thing you can do ever… If the person loves you, they will surely come back… But yes, sometimes it becomes too late to realise that we need to let it go!
