Gorgeous Art (Inspired by Between the Lines by Sara Bareilles)
Cruel mind still carries all our shared memories.
Ironically, t’was not able to detect the fallacy
buried between your lying lines.
Thankfully, I have a scarred yet dauntless heart
which made your betrayal a gorgeous art.

My pleasure, since you have gone private, your posts don’t show up on my feed strangely and I’m not sure why.
I have to visit your site in order to see if you have posted anything new.

Yes, once you look at scars in a different manner, they can actually strengthen you. Of course, it doesn’t mean that getting scarred is a good thing. But, then again, maybe it is… I guess, it all depends on one’s perspective 🙂
Beautiful lines as always ❤

The last two lines, the couplet, elicit so much thought and feeling, sister. Scarred from wounds of betrayal yet enduring. Turning the scars and the heart–as well as the whole poem–into “gorgeous art.” Lasting beauty.
