I have always been the good girl of the family.
With an alcoholic brother, weed-addicted older sister and party-goer baby sister, mom and dad almost always say I am their hope, their only hope.
I think I am until I saw you, talked to you, dated you, fallen for you.

Did Melinda make this word up? Kidding! I know it’s real! Quite a desperate family in which parents tell one child that she is their hope. I could see it happening, though. Maybe, sister, she will straighten out this new man, too!

HAHA! You go ask her, brother! AHAHA.
Kidding aside, we’ll never know who will influence who in this tandem. 😉

Guess not. We’ll simply have to hope, sister!

I agree!
BTW, brother I know you are a professor (i hope i remember it right). I have a grammar questions. 😀 I am wondering if I can use FOR GRANTED, even without the word TAKEN. Or it should always be TAKEN FOR GRANTED? Thank you! 😀

Good question, sister. “Taken for granted” is well-known by readers. But there’s no reason why “for granted” couldn’t go with other words. No grammatical reason.
BTW from me. I like your use of the word (and your meaning in) “tandem.”

Thank you very much for answering, Sir! 😀
I’ll be using For Granted as a chapter in my poetry book. 😉 So you really helped a lot, brother. Thank you very much! ❤
