Word-High July: Salamat sa Bayanihan

From the bottom
of my chubby heart,
please accept
my warm salamat
for participating
in this Filipino word art!

We successfully did
a creative bayanihan
and we truly proved
that we can
know a culture
through its words’ hum!

Salamat everyone
for taking your part,
I hope you enjoyed
sharing your writer-hearts!

      1. Never ❤ Today I gave Jeff my username and password, so that if something happens that I can't blog anymore, he will let everyone know. You won't have to wonder 🙂

  4. Thank you. This is such a sweet post. I have enjoyed every minute of this challenge. Some of the words were more difficult for me to write about than others, but I learned from each one of them. Thank you for the opportunity to learn about the Filipino language.

Have a blessed day, all of you!

  5. This is the first time I every participated in such a meme. I had no idea what to expect. I am relatively new to the whole idea of meme posting.

I am a very technical person and most of the poems were over my head, but it is good to expose oneself to a different way of seeing the world from time to time.

In this challenge, we saw a little arts meets Filipino meets redneck. Talk about a melting pot.

  7. Sister, walang anuman! (Hopefully, I’m saying–well, writing–that correctly.) This was a treat. The words are resonant with lovely-looking–and, I imagine, lovely sounding–arrangements of consonants and vowels. This was a learning and growing experience–thanks to you and Maria!
