Word-High July: Tadhana

If destiny’s the foe of our love story,
I’ll put my armour and wage war against it
until it signed a peace treaty.

  1. I can’t believe Word High is coming to a close soon! It’s been a lovely journey, Rosemarie. You’ve brought me down, and you’ve brought up with your beautiful, lyrical words. I think if we all love more, the world would be such a better place. Thank you for reminding us of the power of LOVE. ❤ *hug*

      1. I love Ness. I haven’t read More Than This. How was it? How does it compare to A Monster Calls? Look forward to your thoughts on Han’s book, too. I haven’t read any of her books, yet. I feel like it might be too YA for me. I’m completely basing this on…oh, nothing. 😀

      2. Ohhh. More Than This is my first ever Ness read and honestly, I am quite disappointed. I am sure this is a not so famous opinion but I am really bored during the first half. Like nothing is happening. But when it peaked the story and the characters came alive and it was a breeze (with cringes) finishing it. 🙂

Han’s book has been in my shelf for quite sometime now and I have the same thought. That it might be too Ya. So we’ll see! 😀

      3. Awe…I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it as much. I read A Monster Calls at a time when I had a family member with cancer. I thought Ness captured the dark emotions so well–the desperation of healing, the shattering of hope. I hope you’re enjoying To All the Boys I Loved Before better. =)

      4. I have read great reviews about A Monster Call. 🙂 SO I believe it is great. My only inhibition is that I am not into dystopia anymore. (Maybe that is why More Than This does not appeal to me.) I haven’t been reading Han’s book yet as I read another poetry book. 😀 I’ll resume reading it this weekend. 😀

It has been a fantastic journey and has showcased great work from very talented people. I will be doing a small homage on my blog later next week.
