Halakhak
The unforgiving day
has worn me out.
With sulky soul
I entered and heard
the loud laughter
of mom and dad,
followed by
the giggles of
my little lasses and lad.
I went in
and was welcomed
by their warm smiles.
My worn out soul
was revived.
My lungs breathe again.
I am home.

The power of laughter ❤ There is something re-energizing indeed about being surrounded by the laughter and positivity of the ones you love most.

What a delightful way to end the poem, which is such a fine look at the health that laughter can engender. God bless our families–our laughing families! You’re so right, sister! Humor can revive!

Oh my, this is wonderful, Rosey! Some days are surely “unforgiving” and wear us out–and I confess that some days my soul is “sulky” too 🙂

I understand completely. That is why I lived home and commuted to college. Years later I am so happy I did that because I have 1/3 the college debt of my peers.

it was 45 minutes to an hour by car depending on traffic, so not too bad.

yeah… and traffic is not a major problem there, right?

It’s a problem everywhere in the world. I leave extra early so I can get to work on time because of traffic.
