Word-High July: Dalisay

Dalisay

As pure as the fresh water
of the running stream,
as pure as a baby’s voice’s
first time scream,
that is you and your love
‘fore you learned the word drugs.

  1. Shocker at the end my friend. But it is true for some people and I have had friends experience this in a way when they were younger. A couple of them L and H dated guys who were really into smoking weed. I remember having a conversation with L in the girls washroom on my 21st bday, she was so frustrated. She liked this guy Chad a lot,but he was always smoking up and when she asked him to easy, he wouldn’t. She asked him if the drugs were more important than her. Sadly he answered, they were his number one poetry. She broke up with him. Hopefully, in 10 years since, he’s gotten his priorities together.

And sorry, this is going to be a long comment. I’m wondering Rosema if you would allow me to send you writer/poet interview questions, so I can include you in my interview series I do every two-weeks. Perhaps, I could give you interview questions now so you could return them to me by the third week of August, so I can feature you at the beginning of September? Let me know if you have the time. My email is mandi_ae@hotmail.com. Thanks.

      1. You’re welcome Rosema. I’m excited to interview you. Do you want to send me an email at my email address mandi_ae@hotmail.com, so I have your email to send the interview questions to?
        Thanks

Yeah, I hope Chad is doing better now. Some of his friends ended up doing well despite their addictions, so one hopes 🙂
