Aquiver: An Alouette*
your warm hand’s caress
felt like an arrest
that handcuffs my heart and mind,
that tickles my soul,
that fills up my holes
and send shivers— the best kind.

In this work, the disconcerting start turns into loving affirmation. A different kind of twist for you, I think. Love does arrest, I guess; it distracts and keeps us that way. We are kept, then, in this place of delightful distraction. You are profound, sister!

I’ve been meaning to say, sister, that I really like the titles of your works. “Aquiver” is great! Makes me think of arrows and of kilig (if I use that right).
