Amihan
The whistling wind
is like a ghost
that creeps inside
my hollow holes
dug by
your sudden absence.

The image is wistful. The poem more so. You set a haunting scene, sister. “[L]ike a ghost,” that is.

Yes, brother! That is the goal. To make wind as if its a ghost. 🙂
Thank you!

You succeed in your goal. The wind here as (and like) a ghost makes chills.

A haunting and beautiful poem Rosema. Amihan – my favourite word, so far. It was interesting reading about its’ origins and learning something about Tagalog culture. Thank you.
Here is my offering for today.

Oh wow. Thank you for the compliment for both my work and the word. 🙂 The aim of this challenge, aside from reading your lovely responses, is to share to you guys a piece of our culture. Thank you for affirming that it serves its purpose. 🙂
