I loved this. So short, so powerful, so typical of your poetry! It’s sad to think that they have so few cherished memories they could count them all with just their fingers.

Yay. Thank you, Jade! I now find writing long poems quite tough. 😉 So here are the short ones. 😀
Yeah… it’s sad.

Sister, this is both wise and endearing. So much truth in such a compact verse!

Wow! Thank you, brother. When heart is in love, mind has some tendencies to create imaginary scenes. hence, when heart is broken, only the real memories remain. 🙂

True, sister! I tend to favor living in the present over recalling the past. But often remembrance is good. And, you’re right, sometimes that’s all there is.

Yes, that is true! Living now is the most important. 🙂 Thank you, brother!

Salamat! 😀 Nakakatuwang basahin ang mga tula at istorya na naisulat ng mga manunulat mula sa iba’t-ibang bansa hango sa mga salitang Filipino. 🙂

I’ve held on to loads of individual memories, but as I get older I realize the cacophony of those memories can easily drown out individual moments to be cherished. Fabulous ❤
