As I tear you,
curse you,
destroy you,
in every line,
in every word,
in every rhyme,
the ache fades.
But when
the period comes,
the morphine-words
surrenders,
the pain of
your ghost
reigns again.

Ahh, this sadness is evident and palpitate. I like the use of “morphine-words” metaphor. Painkiller, but at the same addictive.
May you have a lovely weekend ahead Enchanting Ema!

The term “morphine-words” is creative and compelling. Temporary relief. Temporary exorcism. The ghost returns. Shall I say it?–haunting work, sister.

Beautiful post. So sad the morphine only lasts as long as she writes.

Yeah. I have read that’s what drugs do? They make someone high for sometime but the effect also fades away.

Yeah me too. I think it depends who you are (your genes) and how long for drugs. Some can get you addicted straight away, but some take time.
