Morphine

june 23

As I tear you,
curse you,
destroy you,
in every line,
in every word,
in every rhyme,
the ache fades.

But when
the period comes,
the morphine-words
surrenders,
the pain of
your ghost
reigns again.

  1. Ahh, this sadness is evident and palpitate. I like the use of “morphine-words” metaphor. Painkiller, but at the same addictive.
May you have a lovely weekend ahead Enchanting Ema!

If you don’t know this talented young woman, I’d like to introduce you to Rosema. “Morphine” is just a taste of her fine writing–she is ambitious and skilled in many poetry forms, and each piece is unique, original–often waking up her readers with a whiplash turn at the end. Don’t miss out on all of her work–Follow her!
