I was once
a friend
of flowery
hopeful
cheesy
tales.
But when you
left me
with nothing
but my pen,
my words
begun to
bleed.

Something like this happens to many of us. Sometimes, though, the hopeful cheesy tales find their way back, even if for a brief peek.

Yes, it is somehow a cycle? 🙂

Mention fiction in big BOLD letters! But words tend to bleed with inspiration from any and everything.

Honey turns into blood. Could be a cycle. Sometimes, though, I find the joy that comes after pain is tougher.
That’s quite the lizard in the photograph.
Wise work, sister!

Thanks, brother!

Wow…the imagery of those few lines. I see red, hot, passion…and a tiny bit of fury. I’m all sweet but I have a mean streak too. Ask my two sons.

I can feel a similar theme between “morphine” and “pain revolution” – sadness bleeds through pen or words.
p.s. happy again it is fiction 🙂 🙂

Yes darling Dajena! You are right! I think I am quite sad when I wrote those two poems. 😀 And the coming poem will have the same theme as well. (I think I wrote these three poems in one sitting, hence the same theme.)
Thank youuuu darling! It is fiction. 😉

For the suffering poet, one must bleed words to cleanse their pain.

Because bleeding words provide healing no touch can bring. 🙂
