Tell Me

Tell Me: A Senryu

Can you hold my heart?
Or you’ll just break it in parts?
Please let me know.

  1. My first instinct would be to say. Give me a chance to see. Don’t outright ask, it’s a big burden. But if you are with that person and get to know them and love them, it’s the best responsibility of all. Not to mention, the other person holds your heart too.

  2. what a note! I hope you put your own heart back together. I have learned that no one can heal a heart except the heart’s owner. Healing has to be internal thing. Otherwise the heart will be weak and forever dependent on others to hold it together and that’s no way to live. I address this idea a lot in my fantasy. I have a lot of broken characters and they stay broken until they decide to fix themselves. It helps when the character in question has a small child who holds up the pieces and asks when his father’s going to get around to fixing himself.

    1. That is so true. Healing, somehow, is a choice. A decision that lies in the hands of the heart’s owner. 😉 That is true! The nameless babe healed Undreal or Undeem (did i remember it right? )? That adorable baby led her from dark to light.

  3. I love it. And just to let you know, I wasn’t sure if I had Followed you or not–so I clicked, then it looked like I’d unFollowed, so I clicked again…maybe I’m going crazy today 🙂
