I let my demons win.
I let my soul forget
the love you bring.
I let envy reign in me.
I let insecurity
flood within me.
I let frustrations
erase Your actions.
I let my selfishness
blur my visions.
Almost an hour inside
my self-imposed asylum,
after I let depression
poison me like helium,
I run to You,
read Your words, my rescue.
You speak to my soul,
to my heart broken and tainted.
You softly whispered
“Bloom where you’re planted.”
You also added:
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
1 Timothy 6:6
My tired eyes begun
to well-up again,
with You I know my demons
will now be in vain.

My depressed post early this week may came as a surprise to most of you. I have killed a lot it this blog (I am guilty.) and have posted several depressing stories but NEVER in my personal posts. Until, that one.
I am naturally a blissful, optimistic person but the turn out of events last week have broken the leash I put around my inner demons. So they went out.
It was just almost an hour of depression inside our bathroom. After that I read my Daily Bread and He has spoken. His words made me better.
And.. yours too. From my heart please know your encouragement, your concern, your love held my spirits up again. ❤ Thank you so much Vijaya, PJ, Mandi, Judy, Dajena, Kay, Christopher, my M, Mel and Maria. You are all blessings. ❤

Awww, Rosema, this is so sweet! There is nothing wrong with showing your feelings and emotions and to feel the waiting comforting arms of your friends. We have all been there and we will all be there again. It’s part of life and we are all here for each other. XOXO Many blessings to you my dear friend!

Dear Rosey, I’m a firm believer that we have to get the bad stuff OUT–one way or another, and writing is a perfectly safe outlet, which God has given us to use. If we hold the tough stuff inside too long–because we think we have to always show a “saintly” positive attitude–it’s unhealthy; we can become ill: physically, mentally/emotionally, spiritually. I am glad you could write about ‘demons’–showing that you are human, with times when you feel weak. When we have the courage to be vulnerable, we are usually surprised by how much support we receive from others. And when we show this kind of courage, then others feel they have permission to do the same. You are very special, so precious to God–and to all of us who know you here on the blogs (as well as to your family and friends at home). I love you muchly! xxoo, M

My dear M. Thank you! I share the same sentiment. We should let them out so they can’t poison us any more. 🙂
I believe in honesty more than being saintly, thus I let my demons all out. 🙂 Thank you for seeing my courage in my vulnerability.
I do appreciate your wise and loving words my dear M. ❤ We are both special. ❤
Much love back to you! ❤

Yes, Jesus would never want us to poison ourselves–not even a little drop! We may find we’re surprised at the true saints we meet one day 🙂 They may be a bit rough around the edges 🙂 🙂

(I pingbacked a response I wrote in a post of mine, so if you’re getting something like this for the second of third time, I apologize. But I’m probably going to say pretty much the same thing now.)
If anything I say to is helpful, then I’m happy. And relieved. Everything I write to you (when I’m not making mistakes) is heartfelt. Expressing what you’re going through is honest and strong. And, certainly, there’s going to be hardship as well as joy to share. I appreciate your being brave.
I pray God blesses you, Rosema, and more.

No worries, Christopher. This is the first time I am reading your lovely words. 🙂 And second time or third won’t be a problem but a delight. 🙂
Thank you! Yes, everything you say is helpful because you are one of the wisest friends I have here. I mean that. 🙂
Thank you very much for seeing the bravery in my words when I am at my lowest. Blessings back to you my friend. ❤

I am so glad you are back to your optimistic self. You are a candle whose light touches so many, I am glad your light returned to you and brought with it relief and peace. I’m praying for you. If there’s anything I can do to help–just let me know. No one should have to shoulder so much on her own.

Oh Rose, there is nothing wrong with letting those demons out now and again. I know I too have done it on occasion, and feel so much better after I have!
I am so pleased that you are feeling better now though 🙂
