I’ll Be: A Tanka*

I’ll be the wind that
whispers comfort to your soul
I’ll be the water
that washes, heals your burnt holes
after you’re engulfed in flames.

  1. Beautiful Ema, I really like the different elements that you included in your poem. They add power to the poem. And I also love the juxtaposed idea of “healing” yet, the reveling in “enflaming”.
