Taught: An Imayo*

You taught me to eat my pride, my inner monsters.
You taught my tired soul to pray, hope for the better.
But most of all my dearest, t’was you who taught me,
how to love with all my heart, until it stops beating.

  1. This is succinct but powerful for it’s shortness. He taught the most vital things. Most importantly, to love with all her heart. Well done Rosema. You are doing well with all these different poetry types, I like to see how you do them 🙂

  3. I am beginning to see why you like short and sweet poems. Those few words portray so much and at the end, that’s what counts. You don’t need a truckload of words to convey something when just a cab-ful would do 😀 ❤

    1. Thank you very much, NJ! 🙂 I am not sure but I really like short poems more than the longer ones. Maybe I am too lazy to write long ones! HAHA
Love the truckload vs cab-full! 😀 😀 😀 You are smart, my friend!
