Piano’s Pause

Come, lay, your soft skilled fingers on me.
Replay, retrace, our once shared melody–
sweet chants our souls create, before you left me .

  1. Wow! This screamed at me…I did this just a few minutes ago on my own piano…a piece I once knew and played with my eyes closed for years on end I struggled to get through-my bad!!! It is sad! My mind knows the notes…my fingers have forgotten…I can almost play the piece better if I do not look at the manuscript??? My bad!!!
    Thank you for this!!!

  2. Aww… don’t let the piano go! There is still so much melody to be belted out by it. This is so touching and heart-warming and sad, all at once.
