Earth: An Etheree

Blue
blankets
represents
vastness and depth,
of deep… mystic world
beneath expanse of browns.
Above sprouts green mantles
along the smoky high-rise greys.
In between deep blue, tall greens and greys,
moves little d-o-t-s of diff’rent color s-l-o-t-s.

What a fun poem. I especially like how you played with that last line.

Hi Shonna! 🙂 thank you so much! I played because it supposed to look the longest line. HAHA. Glad it still made sense. 😀

The colors of our planet. Always calming to think about. Thank you!

so agree, Christopher! i am quite curious to know what do you think of the last line. does it makes sense? 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
I was thinking the last line refers to cities and other human-made lights and all the movements (in light) between. And, more generally, to our movement upon the planet. All the other parts and colors are (attractively) detailed in the earlier lines of the poem. If I have that wrong, I’m more than willing to be corrected.

Wonderful description of earth. You painted an excellent picture. Like how you spelled out words at the end. 🙂

yay! thank you Mandi! that spelling out thing was done because the last line should be the longest, naturally it isn’t so i spelled it out. haha! 😀
