Delved: A Diamante

Lost
clueless, numb
searching, waiting, hoping
blank… futile… alive… real…
ending, mending, reaching
rescued, saved
Found.

very cool poem! I love the turn near the end 🙂

thank you dear Mel! I think that is the essence of this form. the turning point towards the beginning’s antonym .:)

The journey from “Lost” to “Found.” Through numbness and hope, “mending, reaching,” being “rescued” and “saved.” This reads especially significantly in the diamante form. Really well-expressed, Rosema!

oh yeah! thank you Christopher. It is quite challenging but it is fulfilling as the poem felt like a journey. 🙂

Thank you for introducing me to a ‘diamante’.
Loved the poem and how it captured the life-story of a shell or any artist, ending with the profound ‘found’.

Oh yay! Another new form to enjoy 🙂 Sometimes just a few words can denote so much rather than a huge page of it. The whole process of one’s life being lost and struggling and searching for the right path and finally finding it and being rescued… you’ve put that in a beautiful way.

I’m not sure why, but I love these poems that have a shape to them. When poets play with white space on the page, it gives my brain an added challenge. Lovely poem!
