Your sudden goodbye
killed old ‘I’,
cleansed me and my eye.

Today, I challenge you to write a lune. This is a sort of English-language haiku. While the haiku is a three-line poem with a 5-7-5 syllable count, the lune is a three-line poem with a 5-3-5 syllable count.

Deep!! In just few words, you took me to the deepest thoughts, Rosema. Great take and I love your choice of image.
And oh, I thought NaPoWriMo would be free of prompts. Haha. Guess, I’m off to think of a lune myself. 😀

You are an awesome writer. This captures the feelings from break up (sudden goodbye), to the process of moving on (killed old I), to being truly free (cleanse me and my eye). I would love to follow you and read your work in my newsfeed.

Wow. I’ve had to read this a few times just to figure out how it’s making me feel. You’ve captured so much depth and emotion in just 3 little lines. And it’s equally pleasant to read (because of the similar sounds/rhymes) and melancholy. Well done, Rosema!
