Remember when
you first saw me?
You said I was
the most lovely.
Among the girls you see,
you noticed no one but me.
Remember when you went
to meet my stiff parents?
You’re so nervous,
so jittery.
Mom was fine yet
Dad was stressed,
well because I’m
his first princess.
Remember when
I said yes, finally?
You we’re so happy
with eyes that’re teary.
Likewise I am blissful,
to be yours officially.
Remember when
you saw her,
the girl I will
always remember?
Of course you
will forget never,
’cause it is us
you choose to surrender.
I can still remember,
but I know you can’t.
‘Cause sadly,
I still remember,
years after you forgot.

Why it always have to be a sad ending? Im always a believer of happily ever after. Is it a true story or just a product of your creative mind?

Oh. I am a believer of ‘Forever’ too, Garacelyn. Sorry if I made you sad dear.. but yeah… I think I am more comfortable in writing sad poems and tales.
This is… fictional. Though… somehow based on my first experience with love.

Sad poems and tales are remarkable after making you cry river of tears. But in real life its really heart breaking. I pray for God’s best for the both of us 🙂

Sad and heart wrenching. To love still, but not be loved by your beloved anymore. So, well written!

It lit up my heart when I started reading it but the ending broke my heart completely. Most of the guys are jerks who forget all their promises and even love.
You’re really written this beautifully, Rosema. This poem really stands out! 🙂

“I can still remember.” Memory can be a happy resource. And it can make us sad. You effectively express both parts.
