Gluttony

Calories unseen,
six sumptuous slices still
not enough, more please!

Counting calories–
Eat more lettuce not more cake.
Lock the cookies up!

    1. Sorry for being away for a looong time and thank you for entertaining the commenters in our collab! 😀 Appreciate it a lot… 😀

I am quite thinking of making a series of sonnets about four seasons. ❤ We have already written one for spring. ❤

      1. Me too! You’re welcome 🙂 I didn’t mind playing hostess in your absence. Since you weren’t around, I didn’t go ahead with any of my books. I figured I’d wait for your return. So you don’t have to play catch up. I really appreciate collaborating with you and your presence in this blogosphere. I hope your Easter was magical.

      3. Really? I’m the only one who asked??? Hmmm… don’t be dear! Maybe they are too busy with some other stuffs but me… I am really looking for them for quite sometime now. I believe I commented in one of your poem/collab last week asking for them? 😀

  1. I fee like saying, “Release the cookies!” But that’s just mischief. The repeated long e sounds emphasize the element of excess. This is an engaging collaboration. Clever and meaningful. Ambrose Bierce, I think it was, wrote a Devil’s Dictionary. Maybe you two could try that next. You know, five sins from now.

      1. I’m sorry, I might have miscounted. I thought this was second sin to write about. So then you would write about five more sins and then move on to your next project. Apologies if I goofed (again).

  2. I liked this “sin” Rosema. Especially the line about eating lettuce not cake. I’m on a diet trying to lose wait, I thought of lettuce and went ick! Then you said cake and I imagined this wonderful decadent chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Sweet and so chocolately, you need a scoop of vanilla ice cream beside it. Oh yum, perhaps I’m a glutten lol. Great poem!
