Dreams are the reflections of our desires
Someone told me a long time ago.
I’ve been dreaming of losing you
Makes me wonder if it’s true.
No re-spite for nightmares
while I fight sleep, and
when a-wake, I
find you are
tru-ly
gone.

Here
I smell
the remains
of your musky
lingering sweet scent,
my skin still feels the ghost
…of your masculine… gentle
fingers, caressing and wrapping
me wholly, beneath the soft white sheets.
Now my room’s a haunted house with you gone.
