A poem
without
a rhyme
is complete.
But a me
without
you,
isn’t.

I write because I read. I read because I write.
A poem

a rhyme

That is true. Someone will complete you, but some can also be complete alone.

The broken dock looks sad. A good metaphor for feeling incomplete. As a peer, I’m happy for your reinforcing the notion that poems don’t need rhymes. The second part of the verse reads like an equation whose factors are math-like thinking and love.

Yes. you got the image, Christopher! 🙂
Thank you! I am so fond of rhymes (my poems always have rhymes) but a poem without a rhyme can still be a poem. 🙂
Thank you again!

This is perfectly true. We can be complete with ourselves and really, before we can truly love another we must first love ourselves.
