When I was younger, I look at blind date and speed dating as foolish, flirty, waste-of-time events.
Now that I am 38 years old, single, still a certified NBSB (no boyfriend since birth) which is synonymous to a certified virgin, my mind has changed.
Today’s blind date is my last hope to find love, and yes, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Poor lady. It happens, but you have to make an effort too. You can’t just expect ‘ Mr Right’ to fall into your lap. Part of dating is going outside of your comfort zone. And I guess your character finally is, so I hope she meets a nice guy.

Ooooh. You are right, Mandi. I agree with you. Maybe she has no self-confidence before. Now she’s taking some baby steps. 🙂

Kidding aside, writing something happy is not really my knack (not like you! :D). It’s a bit tedious for me.

Hahaha! No, only started on 3 Sept last year! 😀 Had never written any story prior to that. 😀 Writing was a far-fetched dream.

ouch! So I have 2 years until I am certified as never going to find love? (I turned 36 today). Yikes! I guess I had better start looking…

I figured it wasn’t but it struck a chord. It’s hard being 36 and not having had much luck romantically speaking. Especially since everyone I know in real life is married. I am the perpetual third wheel.

Oh. Sorry. I was not aware. I honestly thought you’re just within my age. Maybe 27 or 28. 🙂
And… Hmmm. I have three aunts who are now close to 60 and all of them were not able to get married. But they are happy. 🙂 I hope you get what you wanted, amd what truly makes you happy. ❤❤❤

No worries! I don’t look or feel my age. I never have! 😀 I inherited that from my mom. People thought she was my older sister until her hair started to gray 🙂 I would like someday to have a family of my own and a a loving husband. Though I sometimes wonder if I have become too jaded by other people’s broken marriages to ever find that happily ever after I used to dream of. ah well, I am still young. Only time will tell 🙂

Oh yeah. That is why you look young. 🙂 I believe your hopes will never get passed God’s ears. 🙂 and like what you said, you are young. 🙂

I actually have to think about my age when folks ask me because the number doesn’t match my mentality! Thank you Rosema! I hope so. I am patient. I believe what my mom says, that because it took longer to find, that love will be better because we’ll both know what we want. I won’t have half the drama my friends and relatives do. 🙂
