Can you read my mind?
I hope you can.
From opposite face
of earth’s sphere maze,
among billion blogs
and gazillion word clogs,
i found you
you found me.
I can’t figure out
how our chitchats sprout.
I just remember how intimidated I was,
’cause your poems are flawless, no fuss.
Is it because of Sarn’s wit and magic?
Or Shayari’s captivating trick?
Is it the thrilling enchanted quests?
Oh, those are just wild guesses.
Nonetheless,
I want to speak less.
Cause this is your day, my dearest Mel.
And this poem wants to tell…
You are a great poetess,
scribbler of great characters.
I look up to you,
yes, that is true.
Your eloquence is
a sight to behold
I hope more will listen
to your stories worth to be told.
I look forward for more tales,
and magical haunting spells.
More creepy images,
or maybe a bit less? (kidding!)
and more poetic collabs,
oh, please say yes!
Can you read my mind?
I hope you can.
So you can hear and see
my full force greeting band
singing…
Happy birthday, dearest Mel!
❤

You beat me to it Rosema :). Was planning on doing something similar for dear Mel. Beautiful tribute from a beautiful person to another beautiful person.

Awww. I believe you can make a great one for Mel, too. Because that will be another poem from a beautiful person to another beautiful person. 😘😘😘

It looked to me like the words that were bonded was a Haiku.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Rosema for the beautiful birthday wishes and then ever more beautiful poem. And Yes–a thousands times yes–to another poetic collaboration. Just name the topic and the time 😉 Your poem touched me deeply; you really get my world and my characters and you like them! I can’t express how much that means to me. I spent decades crafting Shayari and its lore afraid to share it yet wanting one person in the world to understand. Thank you for that gift–the gift of a reader’s trust and interest; it is the most precious one I have ever received and the one I treasure above all 🙂

You’re welcome, you’re welcome, you’re welcome dear Mel! 🙂 I have written this poem on the same day that I learned March 10 is your birthday. 😀 And actually I almost posted this a day early (yeah I forgot about our different time zones. :D).
And!!! Thank you for the thousand times yes! Hmmm.. I think it’s your turn to name a topic? 😀
Oh… those years you have spend with Shayari have paid off, for me, because your characters and the mystical setting itself are both ‘solid’. I see no loopholes. And they are engrossing. 🙂 I am reminded my my fave Maya Angelou quote. (you know that already). I am glad your agony has ended. My wish now is for more readers for your tales. ‘Cause you deserve them. 😀

Aw thank you, you’re words are a balm on my soul. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am glad I spent all those years writing in secret. I have reams of stories no one has seen yet but you all will 🙂
As for the next theme, how about the seven deadly sins? That could be a lot of fun to write senryu about. We could take either angle–folks giving in or folks abstaining and fighting the impulse or we could do both sides of the coin. We could parody them too. It might make for an interesting series. We could call it the ‘Seven Deadly Sins of Senryu’ or something. How’s that strike you?

Again, you are welcome, you are welcome, you are welcome! I am moooore than excited to read them all! ❤❤❤
And yeahhh! I loove the idea of the seven deadly sins! That would be interesting! 😉

Yeah! I saw it. But wi-fi is a bit slow. Will chexk it out tomorrow. 😀

Oh no rush! Read it when you can. My words will be there. I know all about finicky wi-fi. that used to be my reality before I got fed up and moved. Every time God sneezed it would go out and take me hours to get it running again.
