I tried to erase
all your mem’ries,
all your trace.
But my heart
still remembers,
that fateful December.
You said
it was me,
all along.
Why now
I am here
all alone?

Haha! I have written a fictional tale about ‘him’ actually. When I was in third year high school. Not the kind of fiction I write now. It’s more like a ‘script’. 🙂

Ooh… high school love. Sounds interesting! 😀 Hmm, did you share it here?

Nope. I haven’t. But I asked for my boyfie’s permission. Because… it’s not just highschool love. It is first love actually. 😀

Owww… and he agreed? 😀

Not at first. He asked why can’t I write ‘our’ story. I said… I don’t want to YET. I want to write something that has already ended.

Awweee… I feel for your boyfie. Hmm, but I’m guessing that he agreed in the end?

Yeah. He did. 😀 I argued I can write about that because it’s done. it ended. Not like us. 😀 (pa-cheesy. HAHA)

Skillful use of rhyming sounds to bring all the meaning together. I agree with how this sounds, overall, like a song. The second set of stanzas (three and four) would work as a poignant chorus.

Oh. Thank you, Christopher.
Lately, I have been fantasizing of writing a song because my favorite songs have poetic beautiful rhyming lyrics. Now you are giving me some confidence to do that. 🙂

Good fantasy! Be confident! You certainly have the skills for song crafting. So much of what you post already is like lyrics.

When we hear those words, the heart truly believes it is forever. Sadly, it isn’t always the case. This is accurately sad for many of us and you write it beautifully!

Yes. It is human nature, I guess?, to believe in promises. That’s why we have elections (in democratic countries). 😀
