For the ninth time today I heard, “We’ll just call you, thank you for your time.”
Freeing up the tears, I was about to crumple my five remaining resumes…
when for no reasons, I looked up.

In response to Sonya’s Three Line Tales Week Four.
The TLT rules are simple:
- Take a look at the photo prompt and write three lines to go with it.
- Your lines can be poetry, micro-fiction, micro non-fiction, quotes you think fit the photo prompt or just a really long caption – everything goes as long as it’s three lines long (you decide how long one line is).
- A link back to this post would be nice (it’ll make me feel obliged to swing by yours to read your three lines, and some of your readers might want to join in, too – the more, the merrier, right?).
- Tag your post with 3LineTales – it’ll make it easier for others to find it in the Reader.
- Use the hashtag #3LineTales on Twitter , #3LineTales on Elloor #3LineTales on Instagram if you’d rather not use your blog or don’t have one.
- Read other participants’ lines and let them know what you think of their work.
- If you want, post your three lines here in the comments (I think they’d look much better on your blog, though).
- If the photo inspires you to write something longer than three lines, put a link in the comments, anyway – but mention you went over, please.
- Have fun!
Beautiful lines! Never give up hope… Thanks for coming to play – I’ll had you to the round-up now 🙂

I really don’t like rain generally , but you made me think that I should hope for rainy/sunny days in the near future , so I can glimpse Lots of Rainbows 😉

I hope for that, too, my dear Turtle. 🙂

I am no fan of rain as well. Though rain will be worthwhile as there’s a rainbow always after the rain. 😉
I hope you are having a great week too!

Unemployment is the bane of our urban community. Great piece! This encouraged me to send in my own piece.

That is true. I experienced this myself, that is why this piece is somehow sentimental for me.

The meanness of the city takes a break to offer beauty and comfort instead. Good thinking. We all need to remember this as a recourse. Thank you!

There is hope yet still. Sometimes all we need is some sort of sign, like a rainbow. 🙂 Great job.

Very well done, been there/felt that 😉 the whole challenge is to hold on tight to the rainbow’s vibes … and all will work out far better than expected !

I’ve been where the “I” in this piece has been. Nothing worse than a long commute into the city for interviews that don’t work out…

Awww. Me too. I actually have experienced this. have commuted more than 2 hours to get to city and then I always get a NO. I’ve been through that for more than seven months…

Me too 😦 before I got the job I have now I was out of work for almost 2 years. I went on so many interviews and received so many nos.

Oh… Glad those are just memories. Having felt that pain and multiple rejections, I believe they just made us stronger. Right? 🙂

Yes they did and I appreciated the job that finally said yes am the more for having faced all that rejection

That is true. 🙂 So I guess we should thank those who rejected us. 🙂

I did because their rejection allowed me to be where I am now.
