With all the blessings and things that I am more than grateful these past 50 Days, it is now time to acknowledge the awards given to me last year. 🙂 Yep. Last year!

For those who do not know Liebster Award, it is a blog award given by a blogger to his/her co-bloggers. This award’s idea is to let new bloggers be known to other writers around the World Wide Web.

The simple rules are:

1. Thank and link the blogger who nominated you
2. Answer their 11 questions
3. Nominate 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers and link them
4. Have your nominees answer your 11 questions
5. Notify nominees through social media

Here are Caitlin, Anakhan and Christopher’s questions!

1. What got you started with your blog?

I am a Journalism graduate and to be a writer has been my dream ever since. But it took me so many years before I started blogging.

My very first post Agony, described how I collected myself and braced myself for the unknown as I started blogging. I was full of fears and inhibitions. The quote,

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

…pushed me to take that leap and start writing for A Reading Writer.

2. Post a link to your favorite blog post you have written and explain why it is your favorite.

Hmm. This is a bit hard. I love all my post, actually, because for me they’re my babies. 🙂 So let’s just consult the annual blogging report by WordPress!

3. What is your favorite color?

It’s purple! 😀

4. Where do you get inspiration to blog?

Hmmm… I usually write my poems and fictional stories when I am in a bus. I don’t know why but maybe my 2-hour commute surely generate creative juices. 😀

Aside from the bus, my stories are mostly inspired by songs that I loved. Like Used to be Mine and Quite Like You.

5. Where would you like to travel that you haven’t travelled to yet?

Outside the country, my answer is Nami Island in South Korea. 🙂

But I have no budget for such trips yet so realistically, I would want to visit Visayas’ stunning sandbar beaches like Kalanggaman Island in Leyte.

6. What was your favorite book or movie as a child?

I am not an avid reader when I was a kid, so I guess I’ll just share my favorite book as of now and that is The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom. 🙂

My favorite movie as a child is The Princess Diaries! 😀 I just love Mia Thermopolis! 😀

7. What is your favorite season and why?

I love winter. Maybe because there is no winter here in the Philippines that is why it is my dream to see, feel, smell(?) snow! 😀

8. Any goals for your blog?

I’ve shared my plans for this year. I guess the most important is the last plan which is To follow more, comment more, inspire more, write more!

9. Do you have a bucket list? What is number 1?

I have yet to formally list my bucket list (what? :D), but travelling is surely the number 1!

10. Favorite thing to blog about?

Books! And fictions, song-based fictions. 😀

11. What’s your dream job?

To be a newspaper reporter. 🙂 Specifically, a Philippine Star reporter. 🙂
