Six sibs
that’re like assorted fruits
from one seed.
–
I am the eldest,
sometimes bossy,
but never careless.
–
The second’s
a bit bitchy
yet insanely funny.
–
The third’s
the most pretty
well, she looks like me! 😀
–
The fourth’s
a black beauty,
sometimes she’s lazy.
–
The fifth’s
the only boy,
yes, he’s so playful.
–
The last’s
our little Jemi,
she dearly calls me mommy.
–
Yes, we are six sibs,
an assortment of fruits
from one seed.

Today, I am thankful for my five siblings. 🙂
They are the built-in bestfriends and babies that God has given me. 🙂

Thank you, Mel! This was inspired by a news late last year about a single tree bearing several different fruits. 😀

You’re very welcome 🙂 that is so cool! They must have grafted different fruit trees to it. 🙂

You write strongly and concisely about your sibs. The eldest of six. Good for you–that puts you in charge. I’m the middle of five, which means I never know my place in the order of things. Your poem here reminds of the Monday’s child verse. More importantly, your work describes the built-in best friends (terrific phrase) whom you have. Thank you!

YAY! Thank you. I guess middle child do have some doubts or uncertainty on their place in the family. But, I think as siblings, we should be complementary. 🙂

Exactly. I think we’ve grown more complementary (and aware of that), as we’ve grown.
