Soulmates

Friends are the siblings God never gave us. – Mencius

Three mothers

each given

with three daughters.

Three daughters

each given

with three unique faces.

Three faces

each given

with three different set of eyes.

Three sets of eyes

each given

with unique shades and hue.

Yet, behind those eyes,

an interweave soul grew.

DAY 45 and 46 of 50 Days of Gratefulness

Today, I am grateful for the soulmates that I have. ❤

SOUL SISTERS. (L-R) Eck, Rosema, Rica

Basically, we’re college friends. But years after school’s done and our friendship remained, actually it has evolved into something deep and true, we all know that ‘college friends’ will be an understatement.

We’ve been through some tough roads. Cliché as it may sound, those stumbling blocks made our friendship better, deeper, more mature.

With all flaws and shortcomings, differences and uniqueness, we learned to understand and communicate. Because friendship doesn’t require identical personalities, it requires complementary individuals.

I am more than grateful to have these two beautiful ladies, my food buddies, my travel companions, my spiritual guides, my laughter generators, my best friends, my sisters, my soulmates!

  2. Beautiful writing, Rosema!
And your pics and musings made me miss my old school friends… I’m an introvert and make very few friends (only the special ones like you) so I really miss them ❤
Thanks for the wonderful post 🙂

    1. Thank you, Heena! 😀 This little poem came straight from my heart and I am happy that you liked it. 🙂

A few great true friends are indeed better than a lot of not-so-true ones. 🙂 I hope you’ll can catch up with you friends, too! 🙂
