DAY 39 of 50 Days of Gratefulness
Today, I am thankful for music.
As it let me shut down, my tired mind.
~
great one! which kind of music do you listen to to relax?

When I need some chill pill, Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz and John Mayer are my go-to artists. 🙂
But, I listen to Hillsong United when I am feeling down, not just tired but really down.
How about you, Estelea? What do you do to relax? 🙂

I am lazy enough to connect to Spotify and pick up the mood I am feeling for. To relax, “Your Favorite Coffee House” is my fav of the moment. I love the playlists “Have a Nice Day” and “Deep Focus” when I am working. For the kids in the evening, “Gentle Classical” is supposed to help them relax (and seems to work!).
And depending where I am, either I am going to a yoga class or just open my colouring book…

Thank you, Annie.
Work’s getting the best of me this past few days. I am actually drained already.

I can relate… it’s been a hectic week for me, too. Take a breather if you can, take care of yourself, remember to have fun 😀 ❤

Hectic, I think, is an understatement! 😀 I am drained since Wednesday. Nonetheless, thank you for the reminder, Annie! Sometimes I tend to be too hard on myself! 😀

Music for the tired mind. I think the music I listen to’s too jumpy. The present participle in the first part of the poem (before the music) makes everything so active. Then the music plus a slower past participle move in and take over. Thank you!

Wow! Who could ever see my poem with intricate eyes but you! 😀
Thank you! 😀
Too jumpy music can actually be relaxing, too!

Jumpy music–yeah, I like jazz. Even the blues seem kind of frenetic. Thank you for intricate; no one’s every used that word before about me. (Good word.) I’ve been looking into Filipino poetry. It’s challenging. There are at least three languages at work, near as I can tell: English (even if it’s only in translating), Spanish, and native Filipino (which might be a blending of Spanish and first dialects?). I like the themes and hope to read much more. Life in the city, life in the land, simplicity, narratives of difficult or joyful experience. These subjects I’ve seen in the verse so far and enthusiastically appreciated.
Maybe I should only read your work, which I know I’ll enjoy. But trying to be a reasonable person in the world, I should keep learning more. I guess.
Again, thank you!

Wow! I am impressed that you are truly doing a research about Filipino literature. 🙂 You might really get confused with the language. We are an archipelago, we have more than 7,000 islands. And each region (or province) actually has their own local dialect aside from our national language which is Filipino/Tagalog. It will really be tough but I can surely help. 🙂
Yes, I suggest you read more other authors because there are a lot of them whose better than me. 😀
Nonetheless, thank you! 😀
