      1. The way it was set out it looked like a haiku but you had an extra syllable on the 2nd line. As far as I know a haiku is comprised of 3 lines. 5 syllables on the first line, 7 on the second and then another 5 on the 3rd. The first and 2nd lines should read as a sentence when taken together. and the 2nd and 3rd lines should also read as a sentence. Also there should be opposing meanings in the first and second parts, I know a lot of people don’t always stick to all of those rules and I sometimes don’t manage to get the opposites in! Ronovan explains haiku better here: https://ronovanwrites.wordpress.com/2016/01/11/ronovanwrites-weekly-haiku-poetry-prompt-challenge-79-crystalhope/

      2. Oh. Thank you for explaining, Judy! And for the link! 🙂

I am not actually aiming to write a haiku, it’s just a random poem. 🙂 I am no expert with meters and forms, what I love is rhyme. 🙂

Nonetheless, thank you lovely Judy! ❤

  1. I love the idea of doing this on a blog. I’ve seen that list and even printed it, but you just gave me a great idea. Thanks–and when I get organized enough to use this, I’ll totally be giving you (and Popsugar) all the credit–thanks!
